Afriupdate news reports that the Rock confirmed this on his official Twitter account that he will be on this week’s SmackDown on Fox, which is being billed as a 20th anniversary show:
“FINALLY…I come back home to my @WWE universe,” The Rock wrote on social media. “This FRIDAY NIGHT, I’ll return for our debut of SMACKDOWN! There’s no greater title than #thepeopleschamp.

Wrestling birthed this incredible man and allowed him to rise through the ranks of Hollywood stardom to the actor he is today.
The Rock has made a few reappearances to wrestling over the last decade, one of the most notably being in Wrestlemania 2013 when he shared the stage with John Cena.
But The Rock won’t be the only person who will be returning; he’ll be joined by Kurt Angle, Lita, Mick Foley, Booker T, Hulk Hogan, Trish Stratus, Goldberg, Jerry Lawler, Mark Henry, Ric Flair and Sting.
Now that is one hell of a line-up.
