Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has restated that he will explore all legal means to ensure that he reclaims his mandate.
Obi said this at the Labour Party stakeholders’ meeting in Awka, Anambra State.
The former Anambra State governor finished third in the 2023 presidential elections won by All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate Bola Tinubu.
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Tinubu the winner after he polled 8,794,726 votes, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was second with 6,984,520 while Obi with 6,101,533 placed third.
Obi has since filed a court petition challenging the outcome of the presidential election.
“Earlier today (Sunday) I interacted with the Anambra State Labour Party Stakeholders in Awka,” Obi tweeted.
“The meeting was quite animated and constructive. Part of our discussions centred on the way forward for the party.
“I reassured them of my readiness to go all the way, explore every available legal option to ensure that we get our mandate back. I appreciated all their support so far, as I assured them of mine.”
