•Akoko-Edo Communities Get Borehole Donation
The Founder of Christ Embassy Church, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome yesterday donated relief materials to five communities in Ovia North East Council of Edo State as COVID-19 continues to affect the global economy.
The Zonal Pastor, Christ Embassy Mid West Zone, Pastor Mary Owase, who represented Pastor Oyakhilome in Okada, said the relief materials were donated to improve the lives of people in the communities.
She said among the materials donated include, 500 bags of garri, rice, beans, tubers of yams, tin tomatoes, salt and onions.
“We are donating because Christ Embassy cares for humanity.There was a demonstration of giving in the Bible and that is what we follow,” Owase said.
The Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFL) reached out to Okada, Utese, Egbeta and Ofuwegbe Community of Ovia North East Council in Edo State.
Meanwhile, towards addressing water shortage in Akoko-Edo community, a non-governmental organisation, Stephen Gideon Owolabi, women and children foundation has equally donated borehole facility to Ikiran-Ile community in Akoko Edo Council of Edo.
