Kebbi State has awarded no fewer than 117 indigenes scholarship to study Medicine, Engineering and related courses in India.
In a farewell message to the students, on Wednesday, at the presidential Hall, Governor Abubakar Bagudu admonished them to be good ambassadors of the country, the state and their respective families.
The students are part of the 262 approved by the governor to go to India, Sudan and Ukraine to pursue their education in Medicine and Engineering.
Bagudu urged them to be hardworking and actively compete with other students to make Kebbi proud.
The governor stressed that education remained on the top of his administration’s agenda, despite prevailing global economic challenges and Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)-induced problems.
