Some Lagos State beneficiaries of the Federal government empowerment programme N-Power on Tuesday protested at the Lagos Television, Alausa, Lagos State.
According to a report from The Guardian, the aggrieved beneficiaries accused the Lagos State Government of ignoring them in its recruitment processes.

“We have volunteered for them for like three years and there is a lot of recruitment going on and we have not been considered at all,” Ayo Opeyemi, a beneficiary of N-Agro and one of the coordinators of N-power beneficiaries in Lagos State, as quoted by The Guardian.
“Federal government has done its part, paying us for like three years but our work benefits the state.”
Afriupdate News understands that the beneficiaries of the Federal Government N-Power programme have not been paid their February 2020 stipend, three days into the new month, March.
We had earlier reported that beneficiaries are fuming over what they described as “habitual delay of their monthly stipends” by the N-Power scheme.
Beneficiaries of the scheme are being paid N30, 000 monthly by the Federal Government scheme.
