The number of N-Power beneficiaries has been increased by President Muhammadu Buhari. The increase was also implemented in MarketMoni, TraderMoni, FarmerMoni, all which are part of Government Enterprise And Empowerment Programme (GEEP).
According to President Buhari, the number of N-Power beneficiaries will now be increased to one million. Previously, the number of N-Power beneficiaries were 500,000 for the first and second Batch – both of which ended in July 2020.

Buhari also increased the number of beneficiaries in MarketMoni, TraderMoni, FarmerMoni, to one million, while new pupils for National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme, a statement from Buhari on Thursday confirmed.
He said the increase was his administration’s effort to lift 100 million Nigerians out of poverty, “We remain committed to the plan to lift 100m Nigerians out of poverty.
“To this end I have approved an increase in scope of our Social Investment Programme: Doubling of @npower_ng beneficiaries to 1 million; 1 million new @geep_ng beneficiaries & 5 million new pupils for @NHGSFP.”

Afriupdate recalls that the planned nationwide protests by the the 36 States and FCT N-Power Representatives Forum did not later hold on Tuesday.
The reason for the protest not holding cannot be ascertained as at the time of publishing this report.
The Council had repeatedly announced that protest against government’s “delay tactics” will hold at Governor’s Office of the 36 States and Federal Capital Territory Administration for the FCT on Tuesday.
But this online news medium discovered that the protest did not later hold on Tuesday, December 8th, with no statement from the organizers as to why they did not later demonstrate.
