Two weeks after Nneka Ikem Anibeze, the Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development announced on her known Twitter handle that 8,900 disengaged N-Power Batches A and B beneficiaries have been cleared for payment of their 5 months arrears of their stipends, this news platform independent findings revealed that the erstwhile volunteers have not been paid till date.
Recall that Afriupdate News had recently reported that numerous beneficiaries of the Nigerian government’s N-Power initiative said that contrary to what was claimed by Ikem, they are yet to receive or see any evidence of imminent payment.
Over 14, 200 N-Power batches A and B beneficiaries are owed (monthly stipend is N30, 000).
On Thursday, April 15, 2021, this online news medium spoke to several affected bonafide N-Power Batch A and B beneficiaries, and they all said they have not gotten paid.
Matthew Taskwa told Afriupdate: “I am owed five(5) months stipends up to date I have not received any text for payment. Please we’re pleading for the federal government to look on these situation and help the youths. Thanks, God bless our leaders and our country Nigerias.”

as all those thieves are reacting, I don't think there's any second chance for them.
until they settled about 14000 npower beneficiaries there 5month unpaid stipends since march 2020 and make the fake NEXIT program to be real.— Olagunju Tosin (@OlagunjuTosin6) April 16, 2021
It's disheartening that, up till this moment, over 14200 exited @npower_ng beneficiaries are still owed 5months stipends by @Sadiya_farouq of @FMHDSD . She has siphoned the monies meant for the payment of stipends for the beneficiaries. @officialEFCC @ICPC_PE need to check. https://t.co/kEiOJNolhL

Dear @ProfOsinbajo ,kindly involve im the matter of Npower beneficiaries that are owed 5 months stipends since last year March.
Humanitarian Minister has no sense of Humanity in her. Giving her humanitarian Ministry is becoming an insult to Nigeria and a hot slap on our face.— The Original (@sulenjikamshi) April 16, 2021
This woman is heartless for threatening us this way since last year march nothing was done about our five months unpaid stipend. This is a country where wicked people are on helm of affairs such as Sadiya Umar Farouq. Pls pay our 5 months unpaid stipend enough of this suffering.

While Batch A N-Power beneficiaries were disengaged from the scheme in June 2020, their Batch B colleagues were exited the following month – July 2020.
The arrears of stipends, which these Nigerian youths have continually cried for, is from March to July 2020.
As per another problem which the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs is turning complete blind eye to, no single Batch A or B beneficiary throughout Nigeria who use Wema Bank received bank alert for the month of June 2020.
