In 2017, a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, the nation’s capital proscribed the separatist group which has been agitating for the realisation of the defunct Republic of Biafra.
The erstwhile acting Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Abdul Adamu Kafarati, granted the order proscribing IPOB following an application filed and moved at the time by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN).
Ejimakor via his known Twitter handle on Saturday likened the psyche of Biafra to the spirit that propelled Nigeria to Independence in 1960.
As seen below, he argued that the Muhammadu Buhari administration was wrong to have proscribed IPOB, an organization he describes as “a spirit”.

IPOB’s self-exiled and controversial leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is facing charges of treasonable felony in his home country, Nigeria.
#Biafra is driven by the same SPIRIT that propelled #Nigeria to Independence. You can’t proscribe a spirit; you can’t call it treason or terrorism & you can’t suppress it by levying State violence against it. Your ONLY option is to engage it with dialogue & compromise. Udo!
