The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has been inducted as Chairman, BSTAN Group, an Abuja-based estate development firm.
Speaking yesterday at the induction ceremony held at the Ooni’s palace, the monarch promised to support the group with his wealth of experience to turn around Ile-Ife and the entire Southwest. He said the irregularities in building construction in certain parts of the town were one of the reasons he joined the group to give the ancient city a facelift.
Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the group, Dr. Becky Olubukola said they would immediately after the induction of the monarch commence a Southwest project to provide housing for people.
According to her, in the last two years, they’ve provided over 25, 000 houses across the country and are presently building 12, 000 projects across the country.
Olubukola stressed that housing must be taken seriously by both state and federal governments.
At the event Nollywood actors, Funsho Adeolu, Jaiye Kuti, Ayo Adesanya and Muyideen Oladapo who are ambassadors of the group, hailed the monarch’s emergence as a positive development that will impact the nation.
