CBN Portal For NPower – Nneka Ikem, the Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has asked exited N-Power beneficiaries to “standby for a text message on the log in details”, AFRIUPDATE reports.
Recall that this online news platform had reported Friday’s announcement by the Nigerian government about the launch of a portal for exited N-Power beneficiaries to apply for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) empowerment options, which was met with loss of hope by majority of people.
Sadiya Farouq, the Federal Minister of Humanitarian Affairs had in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Bashir Nura Alkali, urged interested exited beneficiaries “to log on to the portal and provide the required additional information for possible placements into the various CBN intervention options”.

Meanwhile, no portal link was made available by the Nigerian authorities, much to the dismay of the exited N-Power beneficiaries who have been thrown out of the famed scheme since at least July 2020.
A few minutes after that announcement, Ikem provided further update on the NEXIT.
“Exited Batches A and B N-Power beneficiaries should standby for a text message on the log in details,” the aide to Minister Sadiya Farouq wrote on her known Twitter handle.
Recall that the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, has officially declared the Batch C recruitment portal for N-power closed.
Farouq made the announcement in a series of tweets, disclosing that the Ministry received over five million applications
The government has a job space for only 400,000 persons.
“The N-Power Batch C application portal closed on Sunday, August 9, 2020, after receiving over 5m applications.
