The Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has appointed Mr Adeoye as a COVID-19 Respond ambassador in the state.
This is coming barely 24 hours after video of an Ekiti-based father requesting his son who recently returned home from Lagos which is currently the epicentre of Coronavirus in the country to be isolated for 14 days went viral.
Afriupdate learnt that the man identified as Mr Adeboye, a retired Road Safety officer who warned his son to stay back in Lagos till the fight against Coronavirus become a sucess but the son ignored the warnings of his father and came home.
According to the video below which had gone viral, the Nigerian father insisted that the his son must be tested and isolated for 14 days before he would allow him into his house.
He added that he doesn’t want to be part of those that will complicate Coronavirus issues in Ekiti state just like the 29-year-old pregnant community health worker who died from Coronavirus after sneaking into Ekiti from Lagos state where she works.

Confirming the appointment, the governor stated that Mr Adeoye will help to propagate the message as an active member of the COVID-19 Taskforce in the state.
The government and the good people of Ekiti state are very proud of Chivalrous act of courage and principle which are the hallmarks of the Ekiti person.
Ekiti state will in the future recognise Mr Adeoye valor as an example of the rebirth of Ekiti Value Orientation which is the central focus of Governor Kayode Fayemi’s administration.
In a related story, this online news medium had reported that Ekiti Governor Kayode Fayemi has announced four new cases of coronavirus in the state, bringing to eight the number of confirmed cases.

In a statement he personally signed on Saturday evening in Ado-Ekiti, Fayemi disclosed that the victims contracted the disease from the state’s fourth index case, a 45-year-old medical doctor working with a private clinic in the state
