Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has directed civil servants in the state to resume work.
He gave the order on Tuesday and also tasked the heads of various ministries, departments and agencies to ensure that workers complied with the directive.
The Guardian learnt that the Governor had directed workers to stop coming to work as a result of the coronavirus before the first lockdown so as to contain the disease in the state.
However, some senior officers were asked to resume duties, while junior workers were told to stay back at home.
Also, last week, he directed the reopening of markets on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
