Nigeria recorded 204 coronavirus infections on Thursday 30 April 2020, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 1932.
The newly-reported cases, as revealed via the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday evening, shows that Kano has the highest number with 80 cases, followed by Lagos with 45 cases.
Afriupdate reports that 80 of the new infections were recorded in Kano, 45 in Lagos, 12 in Gombe, 9 in Bauchi, 7 in Borno, 9 in Sokoto, 7 in Edo, 6 in Rivers, 6 in Ogun, 4 in Akwa Ibom and 4 in the country’s capital, Abuja.
As seen below, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) also confirmed four new cases in Bayelsa, three in Kaduna, two in Oyo, two in Delta, two in Nasarawa, and one each in Ondo and Kebbi.
The country also recorded seven more deaths from the disease on Thursday, bringing the total number of deaths to 58.

Meanwhile, Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Chikwe Ihekweazu at the daily media briefing of the Presidential Task Force, PTF, on COVID-19 on Thursday admitted that the agency is currently struggling for bed spaces to accommodate COVID-19 patients across the country.
