It was like the world ended when Mathew Ikechukwu Mgbaramuko, a businessman and father of three, was told he had kidney challenge in 2019 when he was first diagnosed at First Consultant Hospital Apapa, Lagos. He had since then visited several hospitals and now walks on a tightrope, as his life hangs in the balance.
A medical report signed by Dr. Aderemi Sanu, a Consultant Nephrologist at Kidney Solution Limited Ikeja, reads: “Mgbaramuko has a chronic kidney disease in end-stage and has been on haemodialysis twice a week.”
Mgbaramuko needs financial assistance from good-spirited Nigerians, governments and corporate organisations to survive. He requires N10 million to undergo a transplant, according to his doctors.
Speaking with The Guardian, he said: “I have been to various hospitals but presently undergoing dialysis at Kidney Solution Limited Ikeja, at the rate of N50,000 per session. I have exhausted my finance, so also my family. I am using this medium to solicit for financial assistance from Nigerians the N10 million required for a transplant. My children are young and my wife can’t bear this burden alone,” he said.
He can be reached on 08033000101 or 08127997924 and his bank detail is Fidelity Bank: 6320173803.
