An Ex-Beneficiary of the Federal Government N-Power programme, Raphael Olabisi has asked the Vice-President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to intervene in the plight of exited N-Power beneficiaries.
It would be recalled that Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria, has not paid five-month stipends of 14, 200 N-Power Volunteers.
Afriupdate News understands that the owed stipends are for the months of March 2020 to July 2020.
The exited beneficiaries earned N30, 000 (approximately 73 US Dollars) per month.
Olabisi took his Twitter handle on Friday to state that the disengaged beneficiaries “are suffering”.
“@ProfOsinbajo ,good afternoon sir , please kindly remember disengage Npower batch A and B , we haven’t heard anything from you and kindly help us with permanent or and exit package to start a business and we are suffering . I will be looking forward for your response,” Olabisi wrote.
This online news platform reports that Farouq is one of the Nigerian politicians who have gone against the grain on issues of national importance in 2020 and allegedly contributed to the suffering of the larger public.

N-Power is not the only reason Farouq receives jibes from the Nigerian people.
During the early stage of the coronavirus pandemic, Farouq was heavily criticised by Nigerians who didn’t believe her claim that she distributed palliatives to all states of the country.
