As the NEXIT Portal is now accessible, beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s N-Power scheme are saying that the verification email that is expected to drop in their inbox did not, Afriupdate understands.
This online news medium reports that the NEXIT Portal for exited N-Power beneficiaries is now working well.
According to a Press Statement by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria – on November 27 – the NEXIT Portal will enable Batch A and B beneficiaries (numbering around 500, 000) who have been exited from the famed scheme since July 2020 to apply for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Empowerment options.

While on completion, it tells one that verification mail has been sent, this reporter noticed that all the beneficiaries complain they didn’t get any mail.

In other news, President Muhammadu Buhari has sent the Finance Bill 2020 – which exempt N-Power beneficiaries, workers from personal income tax – to the House of Representatives for approval. The finance bill proposes reforms of tax-related regulations.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, revealed this while reading President Buhari’s letter at Tuesday’s plenary. The House is expected to probe the bill before passage. Afriupdate gathered that the Finance Bill will be used to fund the 2021 budget. Read in details here.
