Nigerian have taken to Twitter to blast President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, other for their absence at the burial of the late Chief of Army Staff, (COAS) General Ibrahim Attahiru, on Saturday.
Ibrahim Attahiru and some others who died on Friday in a military plane crash that occurred close to the Kaduna Airport were moved to Abuja on Saturday for burial rights.
After prayers at the National Mosque and the Nigerian Air Force Protestant Church respectively, the bodies were laid to rest in full military honours at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
However, neither President Buhari and Vice President Osinbajo attended the burial, as such, Nigerians took to Twitter to air their minds.
Although Afriupdate News understands that President Buhari went on a trip to France for the African Finance Summit, despite that, some still expected him to be fit enough to make a short drive within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, to honour the head of the country’s military.
This online news medium captured some reactions from Nigerians, see below;
Sad that General @MBuhari did not attend the burial of the late Chief of Army Staff, General Attahiru. He was represented by his Defence Minister. Attahiru died serving Nigeria. Buhari, who went to Paris for 4 days, could not go to Attahiru’s funeral for 30 minutes#TableShaker

If you are from southern Nigeria and you are serving in the military, leave now and back home that you are still alive.
