The federal government N-Power scheme has given an update on the last allowance payment to N-power Trainees.
Afriupdate News reports that the management of Npower Programme Nasims has given a new update regarding Payment Of Last Allowance To Non-graduate Npower Trainees.
According to Nasims, this is to bring to your notice that the last allowance for Power none graduate trainees currently undergoing training at different centres has been disbursed. While some accounts have been credited, be rest assured all qualified trainees will be paid.
As the training will gradually be rolling out, we wish you well in all your endeavours and implore you to make judicious use of the acquired skills, Nasims said.
Npower Nigeria is an initiative that started in 2016 as part of a social investment program by the Federal Government of Nigeria led by President Muhammadu Buhari. Social Investment was part of APC (All Progressives Congress), currently, the major party in Nigeria, promise for a better Nigeria and they are committed to empowering millions of young Nigerians through this programme.
Skills and knowledge are amongst the driving forces of social development economic growth. Nigeria currently has a high percentage of its population to be youth, with a very high level of unemployment so harnessing Nigeria’s young demography through appropriate skill development efforts should provide an opportunity to achieve large-scale development. This is one of the missions of the N-Power Programme.
According to N-Power Nigeria website,” N-Power is also linked to the Federal Government’s policies in the economic, employment and social development arenas. N-Power addresses the challenge of youth unemployment by providing a structure for large scale and relevant work skills acquisition and development while linking its core and outcomes to fixing inadequate public services and stimulating the larger economy.
The modular programmes under N-Power will ensure that each participant will learn and practice most of what is necessary to find or create work.
The N-Power Volunteer Corp involves a massive deployment of 500,000 trained graduates who will assist to improve the inadequacies in our public services in education, health, and civic education. Some of these graduates will also help in actualizing Nigeria’s economic and strategic aspirations of achieving food security and self-sufficiency”.
