Npower April Stipends – Following the complaints by several N-Power beneficiaries that they have not received their April stipends, disputing a statement by the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Emergency and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq.
The Special Adviser on Media to Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria Salisu Danbatta, has told N-Power beneficiaries who have not received bank alerts of their monthly stipends to “go to the appropriate officers they have been dealing with to lodge their complaints”.
While Danbatta did not state explicitly who these “appropriate officers” are, he gave beneficiaries who complain of non-payment of allowances the option of providing their account details to newsmen “for follow-up”.
Npower April Stipends – “Let them give you their account details for follow up and finding solutions,” said Danbatta.
“In the alternative, they should go to the appropriate officers they have been dealing with to lodge their complaints. That is the procedure.”
According to some beneficiaries who reached out to this online news medium and reactions monitored on social media expressed disagreement. A significant number of the N-Power beneficiaries under the graduate components of the famed scheme insist that no payment was made to them.
They called for the resignation of the minister, saying that the delay in monthly payments since she took over the control of the National Social Investment Programmes (NSIPs) had caused them hardship.
