President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of chief executives for nine agencies under the Ministry of Information and Culture.
In a correspondence transmitted to the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, by the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, Buki Ponle was appointed Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), while Nura Sani Kangiwa was named Director General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism.
The beneficiaries also include Francis Ndubuisi Nwosu, who got the Executive Secretaryship of Nigerian Press Council; Ebeten William Ivara was made Director General of National Gallery of Arts; Olalekan Fadolapo emerged Registrar/CEO of Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria; and Prof. Sunday Enessi Ododo is General Manager/CEO, National Theatre.
Others are Ado Mohammed Yahuza, Executive Secretary/CEO, National Institute for Cultural Orientation; Prof. Aba Isa Tijjani, Director General, National Commission for Museums and Monuments; and Mrs. Oluwabunmi Ayobami Amao, who heads the Centre For Black and African Arts and Civilisation as its Director General.
All appointments take effect from September 1, 2020.
