Tecno Spark 8 – Tecno Mobile has got a stronghold on the Nigerian market due to its towering reputation of offering decent smartphones at a highly affordable price tag. So it shouldn’t be a surprise if we tell you that the Chinese company has silently unveiled the Spark 8 smartphone in Nigeria.
On the design aspect, the Spark 8 sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with an HD+ resolution of 1600 X 720 pixels. This display utilizes a waterdrop notch design which houses the 8-megapixels selfie camera.
Tecno has redesigned the backplate, however. Its mirror-finished shell has the ‘Stop at Nothing’ branding stamped on it. An oversized camera island is mounted on the back, containing two lenses, an LED flash, a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and a lot of blank space. Its look is heavily inspired by the new line of Realme Narzo 50 phones.
Tecno Spark 8 has a shinning plastic back, an unusually large square cutout with a 16MP main camera and a QVGA secondary lens alongside the LED flash module and fingerprint scanner (rear-mounted).
The TECNO spark 8 runs a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset under the hood with 2GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. The phone boots Tecno’s HiOS 7.6 on top of Android 11 Go edition. A 5,000 mAh battery powers the show though it only charges at a rate of 10W over the dated MicroUSB standard.
The Tecno Spark 8 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.
Connectivity options on the Tecno Spark 8 include Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, 3G, and 4G. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer and fingerprint sensor. The Tecno Spark 8 also supports face unlock.
