Videos of some residents attacking a bus conveying loaves of bread and a truck conveying bags of rice in Lagos and Abuja respectively, has surfaced online, amidst the extended lockdown in Abuja, Ogun and Lagos state.
Recall that President Mohammadu Buhari on Monday announced an extended 14-day lockdown across Abuja, Lagos, Ogun states to curb the spread of the COVID-19 citing concerns over rising numbers of cases globally, and within Nigeria.
We had reported that the first phase of the lockdown in some parts of Lagos and Ogun States had climaxed over the weekend in a near total breakdown of law and order as hoodlums and robbers unleashed terror on residents.

Prior to this, many residents in both states and in the FCT had expressed anger at the non-availability of palliatives. Many others lamented their inability to access basic banking services.
