Despite the Electoral College confirming Biden’s win, Donald Trump maintains that it isn’t over.
Hours after Biden was confirmed winner of the Nov. 3 elections, top leaders sent congratulatory messages.
One of such leaders is Vladimir Putin of Russia who had declared the readiness of Russia to collaborate with the new administration.
The President of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, and Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil are also leaders that have congratulated Biden on his confirmation.
Trump, however, believes that it was still very early to throw in the towel.
In a tweet, Trump claimed that a poll revealed that 92 percent of Republicans think “the election was rigged”.
In another tweet, he stated that there was “tremendous evidence pouring in on voter fraud. There has never been anything like this in our country!”
Amid Trump’s denial, top Republicans have sent congratulatory messages to Biden.
Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, said, “The Electoral College has spoken. So today I want to congratulate President-elect Joe Biden.
“Many of us hoped that the presidential election would yield a different result, but our system of government has processes to determine who will be sworn in on January 20.
“I also want to congratulate the vice president-elect, our colleague from California, Senator (Kamala) Harris.”
