- We face Nottingham Forest tomorrow in the League Cup.
- Maitland-Niles misses through suspension, while Lacazette is still in rehab.
- Holding is ready to make his first appearance this season.
- Bellerin, Tierney & Mavropanos are building up their match fitness.
Arsenal have released the latest team news ahead of tomorrow’s League Cup opener against Nottingham Forest.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles is suspended for the match after picking up two yellow cards yesterday against Aston Villa. The statement failed to address whether the right-back sustained an injury or not.
Alexandre Lacazette is still in rehabilitation with his ankle injury. The Frenchman is expected back in October, most likely after the next international break.
Rob Holding is ‘available for selection’, according to the update. Considering his name wasn’t even mentioned in the update before the Villa game, this is a massive hint that he will play tomorrow.
Elsewhere, Hector Bellerin, Kieran Tierney & Konstantinos Mavropanos are regaining their match fitness after long-term injuries. All three are already training with the main group but it could still be some time before they get first-team minutes under their belt.
