Bayern Munich now consider letting Robert Lewandowski go, according to multiple sources.
Here are the reasons why.
1. Lewandowski’s agent explains the reasons behind his client’s desire to leave and they sound quite convincing. However, Bayern would still like to receive at least €40m for the sale (h/t Toni Juanmarti).
2. Bayern Munich are very close to finalising the Sadio Mane deal. The Senegalese could even become Lewandowski’s direct replacement as he could play in the middle (h/t Diario Sport).
3. Bayern could first need to sell Lewandowski before they land Mane. This would speed up the whole Barcelona story (h/t Sport1).
It is expected that the negotiations will advance next week.
