Xavi is waiting for Barcelona to complete the sale of their two assets – Barca’s Licensing and Merchandising and part of the club’s TV rights, reports Mundo Deportivo.
Afterwards, Barca will be able to finalise some player signings.
Firstly, the club need to register Sergi Roberto (who has signed a new deal), Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie in accordance with the Financial Fair Play rules.
Then, Xavi ‘would like Barca to sign’ Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso, Kalidou Koulibaly or Jules Kounde, Bernardo Silva (if Frenkie de Jong leaves), Raphinha (if Ousmane Dembele leaves) and Robert Lewandowski.
We’re yet to see if Barca’s economic operations completion will be enough for them to get all of these signings done. As usual, there is optimism within the board members.
