“Barca? There was interest [in January], the clubs talked about it, but they didn’t agree on the move… It was complicated for the club, but I think that now, in June, it will be easier,” Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico has told TNT Sports.
Barcelona considered signing Tagliafico on loan in January, but the deal fell through. After a while, the Argentine hit out at his current club, claiming that they ‘didn’t let him go’.
It’s unknown if Barca would like to land the 29-year-old in the summer. Blaugrana are said to be more interested in players like Alex Grimaldo or Jose Gaya.
Tagliafico could play as a left-back or a centre-back. His current deal with Ajax runs until 2023.
