According to Barcelona sporting director, Mateu Alemany, the club has reached a full agreement with Gavi’s entourage over a new contract.
“Gavi is 17 years old and until he turns 18, he can sign for four seasons,” Alemany said during Kessie’s presentation.
“The agreement in principle for his renewal is already in place. Gavi will 100% continue at Barcelona,” Alemany added.
Gavi’s new contract means that the club has secured the future of the club’s brightest gems – from Fati to Pedri and now Gavi.
The teenage midfielder was tempted by offers from foreign clubs but his first choice has always been Barca.
