- Tottenham were completely blown away by Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Sunday
- The Magpies went 5-0 up inside the opening half hour, with summer signing Alexander Isak involved in a couple of goals
- At one moment, Isak seemed to be in disbelief at how easy Newcastle were penetrating Tottenham
Newcastle ace Alexander Isak could hardly believe what was going on as his side completely blew away Tottenham Hotspur in a mind-boggling first half on Sunay, April 23.
In what on paper looked like a tight fixture between two sides fighting for fourth spot, the first half was anything but a contest as the rejuvenated Newcastle completely dominated proceedings
The Magpies were 1-0 up barely minutes into the encounter as Hugo Lloris spilled a shot onto the path of Jacob Murphy, who put it in the net from close range.
Moments later, Newcastle were 2-0 up as Fabian Schar launched a long ball for Joelinton who went round Lloris to slot into an empty net.
The home side were not done yet as three minutes after the second goal, Jacob Murphy found the net with a 30-yard screamer after Son Heung Min had his pockets picked in midfield.
More questions were asked of the Tottenham defence as Isak got in on the action after he was put through with a lovely through ball from Joe Willock.
A moment later, Isak got his brace after benefiting from Sean Longstaff’s pass to take a touch and put it in the same place he placed his first goal.
After his goal the Swedish international shrugged his arms, as if to imply it was too easy, before wheeling away in celebration.
