Mourinho also vowed never to manage Spurs before Chelsea sacked him, so who knows?
“Watching Spurs compared to this time last season, there’s no difference,” Tottenham fan Dan said on talkSPORT following Spurs’ 1-0 loss at Brighton on Sunday.
“You’ve got no Harry Kane. He’s a big part of the team and you’ve got players in there who Mourinho’s losing his head with like Serge Aurier. He didn’t even play, where was he?
“Dele Alli – he’s like a £70million player… you can’t just get rid of him.
“Mourinho is so stuck in the past. He plays three at the back against Brighton!”
Chelsea’s London rivals considered themselves title contenders earlier this season but now have dropped to sixth place in the Premier League table. What’s more, they’ll be without injured Harry Kane in the next couple of weeks.
When asked who he wants Daviel Levy to replace Mourinho with at the helm of Spurs, Dan surprisingly suggested that Frank Lampard could be the one after getting sacked from Chelsea last week.
“Do you know what? At the minute there aren’t too many you can grab, I wouldn’t mind Lampard,” he replied.
During his days at Stamford Bridge, Mourinho claimed that he’ll never manage Tottenham but it didn’t stop the Portuguese from accepting Levy’s offer in 2019.
