Ansu Fati is having very special Christmas holidays. The youngster, who is famous for his selflessness, didn’t miss a chance to visit his former football school, Sierra Sur, in Seville.
He gave some autographs and talked to the kids in school and also reconnected with his childhood coaches. “I feel at home and it costs me nothing to be here with these guys,” Ansu noted.
The 17-year-old was also asked if he wants to join La Roja at EURO 2020. “Hopefully, yes,” was Fati’s answer.
His father, Bori Fati, who accompanied La Masia star added: “We don’t forget where we came from, our roots and Ansu has his feet on the ground.”
The winger signed for Barcelona back in 2012, being only 10 years old at that time.
After a breakthrough start to the season, Ansu Fati started to play the role of a benchwarmer for Barca as the MSG trio completely recovered from their injuries. However, it’s likely that the 17-year-old will play a bigger role for the Catalans in spring — as soon as there will be some time for squad rotation.
So far this season, Anssumane Fati has made 13 appearances for Blaugrana, scoring 3 goals and making one assist. The 17-year-old is the youngest goalscorer ever for Barca both in La Liga and in the Champions League.
