Arsenal are back in Premier League action tomorrow evening as they look to continue their strong start to the season.
But they will have to do so by getting a result at one of the toughest places to go all season.
The Gunners travel to Manchester to take on City and despite Pep Guardiola’s side’s poor start to the season, Mikel Arteta’s men will have to be at their best to get a result there.
However, before that, there’s still some business left to sort out before the domestic-only transfer deadline on Friday evening.
Here are the latest Arsenal-related transfer rumours.
Mikel Arteta hands Mesut Ozil transfer ultimatum
Mesut Ozil has not been named in Arsenal’s Europa League squad this season and his manager Mikel Arteta has now refused to rule out leaving him out of his Premier League squad too.
Ozil’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season and he has not turned out for the Gunners since March.
“I explained the reasons why and the numbers we had,” said Arteta. “It was really difficult for me to tell them – but this is the restriction and rules.
“They have to respect that decision and try to train the best possible way, help the team when they can. Then we will see what happens in December.
“To leave players out at that level, where they know they cannot get involved, is really tough. But the decision had to be made because we have an excess of foreign players.
“It is down to us to to find ways to motivate those players. And it is about how you react to disappointments. Try to look at the overall picture, make the right decisions.”
Sead Kolasinac offered January exit
Sead Kolasinac has been offered a move to Italy ahead of the January transfer window, a report in Italy by Corriere Dello Sport has claimed.
Despite a positive transfer window, the Gunners still failed to find new clubs for Kolasinac, Calum Chambers and Shkodran Mustafi but the January transfer window is just over two months away.
The report claims that AS Roma is looking for an experienced cover for the always injured Leonardo Spinazzola.
Kolasinac was linked with a move to Bayer Leverkusen but now Roma are said to be prepared to offer him a home.
Arsenal interested in Reading teenager
Arsenal are one of a list of clubs said to be interested in Reading teenager Michael Olise.
That’s according to a report by the Reading Chronicle who claim that the Gunners are sniffing around the talented 18-year-old.
Reading say they have already turned down two £5m offers this summer with the Berkshire club valuing the winger, who has already scored and set-up two goals in five outings this term, at far higher than that.
The Frenchman is pacey and is strong with the ball at his feet.
