Cesar Azpilicueta and Kai Havertz have offered to pay Chelsea’s travel expenses for the Lille game from their own pockets, Mundo Deportivo claim.
Earlier, Thomas Tuchel said that the club is making ‘adjustments’ to fit into the spending cap imposed on Chelsea by the government.
The Blues operate under a license from the UK government that allows them to continue running the club but their spending is limited.
This led to Tuchel suggesting he could ‘drive a seven-seater’ to Lille to make sure the team gets there.
Another problem that has unexpectedly arisen recently is that the Blues might need a similar license to play in France.
So at the moment, it is not even clear if the game will still take place tomorrow, not even how Chelsea get there.
