After weeks of negotiations, Barcelona and Gavi have reached a full agreement over a new contract, Diario Sport’s Tomas Andreu (4 stars) reports.
The 17-year-old will sign a contract until 2026 and his salary will be just below that of Ronald Araujo. The parties have also agreed to revisit the subject of his wages in the near future.
Gavi is expected to sign the official papers before he returns for pre-season on July 11.
It is also expected that the midfielder will be officially promoted to the first team.
In the 2021/22 season, Gavi recorded two goals and six assists in 46 matches for the first team.
