The season is over – and we already know the majority of the teams that will participate in the 2022/23 Champions League.
What’s more, the first two group stage pots are known already, as well as part of the third one.

Pot 1: Real Madrid, Eintracht Frankfurt, Manchester City, Milan, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Ajax, Porto.
Pot 2: Liverpool, Chelsea, Barcelona, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, RB Leipzig, Tottenham Hotspur.
Pot 3: Borussia Dortmund, RB Salzburg, Inter Milan, Napoli, Sporting Lisbon, Bayer Leverkusen.
Barcelona are placed in Pot 2, so they will face teams from Pot 1, Pot 3 and Pot 4 in the group stage. It is impossible for them to be in the group with any Spanish teams.
As you see, there are plenty of tricky opponents in the Pot 1 and the Pot 3. A group of Barcelona, Manchester City, Inter Milan and one more team is an option – and it looks quite scary.
At the same time, we may get a group of Porto, RB Salzburg and one more mid-class side which would be nice in terms of our chances to advance to the knockouts.
