- The Catalans are offering €125m in cash, as well as Dembele and Rakitic.
- The Croatian will join permanently while the Frenchman will arrive on a loan deal.
- The winger is allegedly reluctant to leave Barca while the midfielder has been frozen out of Blaugrana starting XI.
Barcelona aren’t losing hope to land Neymar. They have been in talks with Paris Saint-Germain for several weeks. On Wednesday, Diario Sport claim the Catalans are ready to offer a brand new bid to bring the Brazilian back.
The alleged new offer will consist of 125 million euros in cash, as well as two Barcelona players, Ousmane Dembele and Ivan Rakitic. The Croatian is expected to join PSG on a permanent deal while the Frenchman leaves on a loan deal only. He is allegedly reluctant to go anywhere this summer
Offloading both Rakitic and Dembele is vital for Neymar’s return as they are among the highest earners at the club.
Previously, Barca reportedly offered 170 million euros for Neymar to be paid in two instalments. Other players were set to be included in the deal with Dembele named as the likeliest option.
Dembele’s agent Moussa Sissoko, for his part, has recently bluntly stated that Neymar’s transfer doesn’t concern them. This may indicate the Frenchman isn’t included in the deal. Or Sissoko is simply bluffing as he has repeatedly insisted Dembele is going nowhere.
As for Rakitic, he has lost his status as a Barcelona regular. He has been linked with a Juventus move, however, the Bianconeri could only loan out the midfielder. PSG, meanwhile, were interested in the Croatian last year.
