“Dembélé is very happy, we want him to stay,” Barcelona vice-president Rafael Yuste said.
“The negotiation is underway and we’ll see how it ends. The intention is for him to stay here.”
Ousmane’s contract expires this summer and he has not signed an extension yet.
Barca are also heavily linked with a move for Erling Haaland.
“We’re working to improve the team, but we won’t do anything reckless,” Yuste said when asked about the Norwegian striker.
