The club could reunite with the Argentine now or a year later. They reportedly see a good coach in the 37-year-old.
Mascherano could replace Sergi Barjuan as a Barcelona B manager or start his coaching career at a youth side. There is ‘blind faith’ in Barjuan for now, so the second option is looking more likely.
The Argentine is said to have a great relationship with Xavi.
The former Barca defender is currently the head coach of Argentina U20.
