Barcelona are close to completing the signing of Ajax right-back Sergino Dest as they continue to rebuild their squad.
The LaLiga side have made an £18million bid for the defender, which is likely to end their pursuit of Norwich youngster Max Aarons.
Dest had looked destined for a move to Bayern Munich, but Barca have stepped in with a fresh approach according to Mundo Deportivo, via the Daily Mail, after their attempts to sign Aarons on loan were rejected by the Canaries last week.
The Championship outfit are holding out for a £20m bid for their star right-back. The report adds that they’re not prepared to entertain Barca’s offer of a loan without an obligation to buy.
Barcelona rejected a €150m offer for teenage sensation Ansu Fati in recent days, according to reports.
Fati is one of the brightest stars to have emerged from the Barcelona academy in recent years. He is yet to reach adulthood, but already played a big part at Camp Nou last season.
However, that hasn’t stopped interested parties considering a bid. According to Marca, Barcelona recently received a €150m offer for the 17-year-old.
The report does not mention which club made the offer, but speculates that it could have been Manchester United – who have a keen interest in the player. Read more
