Barcelona have contacted Xavi over replacing Ernesto Valverde in the near future, RAC1 claim.
Barca officials Eric Abidal and Oscar Grau had a meeting with the ex-Blaugrana star in Doha, Qatar, the source continues. The meeting took place less than a day after Barca suffered a defeat against Atletico Madrid in the Supercopa.
Earlier on, Xavi himself agreed that it would be ‘a dream’ to coach his former club, however, he also said that he wasn’t prepared to such a massive challenge.
