Barcelona have decided to extend the contract of Dani Alves, according to Sport’s Ferran Correas.
The Blaugrana intends to hand Alves a six-month deal and could extend it depending on how well he performs.
The extension will allow Alves to remain in top shape, which will help him stay in contention to play for Brazil at the 2022 World Cup.
It must be noted that Alves is 39, and will turn 40 next May. However, he featured 17 times for Barcelona after joining as a free agent in January.
He even contributed 4 assists and even scored a good goal against Atletico Madrid.
