The winger is one of the players who have benefitted from the managerial change.
Before his first game as the Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel felt that Callum Hudson-Odoi could be a very good wing-back – and the 20-year-old should be grateful for such a chance.
In a supposedly more defensive role, the winger showed even more attacking prowess which resulted in two Man of the Match awards.
According to Statman Dave, Hudson-Odoi leads the team in six categories:
20 passes into the opposition box
12 open play crosses
10 touches in the opposition box
6 chances created
4 shots [=1st]
0.57 xA (expected assists)
While it would be a risk to give Callum similar responsibilities against a team as threatening as Tottenham, he surely deserves to stay in this role – unless Tuchel does not decide to tweak the system.
