The Catalans reportedly don’t want to wait until the summer to land the Man City centre-back.
Barcelona interim president Carles Tusques wants to ask presidential candidates permission to sign Eric Garcia in the January transfer window, according to RAC1.
If Joan Laporta, Victor Font, Emili Rousaud and Toni Freixa give their approvals on the move, the Catalans will make a bid for the Man City centre-back in the following weeks.
The 20-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season.
As per reliable Fabrizio Romano, the La Masia graduate has already reached an agreement with Barca and will return to Camp Nou either in January or in the summer.
