The Uruguayan covered a lot of ground to try and get his second goal in the second half.
Edinson Cavani almost capped off a brilliant counter-attack goal for Man United quickly after they had scored their second goal against Fulham.
Minutes after Paul Pogba’s screamer, United got a counter-attacking chance and Cavani dropped back to help start it.
- He made a delicious flick to play Pogba, who passed it forward for Anthony Martial to carry the ball forward.
- The ball eventually made it’s way to the middle, where Cavani again got a hold of possession and passed it wide to Bruno Fernandes on the right-wing.
- As soon as he passed it to Bruno, El Matador darted into the box and then connected Fernandes’ cross perfectly with an emphatic header.
- Unfortunately, Fulham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola showcased brilliant reflexes to save it, denying Cavani what would’ve been a spectacular second goal for him.
