With Kepa’s future at Stamford Bridge unsettled, more and more keepers are linked with the Blues.
The Mirror report that Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak has become Chelsea’s transfer priority on the goalkeeper position this summer.
The 27-year-old has £120m buy-out clause and his contract expires in 2023.
However, the Blues have reportedly decided to use Kepa Arrizabalaga in a player-plus-cash offer to lower the Slovenian’s towering price tag.
The report suggests that Chelsea value their transfer target at less than £100m which is still a pretty hefty sum given the Blues’ obvious ambitions to land Kai Havertz as well.
Still, Oblak is one the best goalkeepers in the world right now while Kepa still struggles to impress both Lampard and the fans, so such spending might indeed be justified.
However, some more reputable sources claim that the Blues are also monitoring Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana, while Dean Henderson is still on the target list.
