“I’m feeling very good, trying to grow confidence and get some rhythm,” Christian Pulisic told Chelsea TV after the 2-0 win over Lille when he scored the Blues’ second goal.
“It’s good to be playing, feeling really good at the moment.
“Once N’Golo gets the ball and he starts driving I just try to keep up with him! He’s quick. He’s fast. He’s running up the pitch, I just trusted he would make the right pass. It was perfect.
“We wanted to come out with a lot of intensity and show them what we’re all about. That’s what we did. What makes us really strong is we constantly press, put pressure on the opponent and we did that very well.
“I thought we started very well, had control of the game and it kind of opened up after the goal, which can happen. They have a lot of threats. We’re happy with how it ended.
“It was a massive performance. I thought we defended really well throughout the whole game and got the goals we needed to. We put ourselves in a good position, we’re happy but there’s a lot of work to do.”
Pulisic’s form has been patchy this season, but he seems to have hit some form recently.
In the Lille game, the American scored his fourth goal this season across all competitions.
