The Blues have won 5 and drawn 2 under the German so far.
- Thomas Tuchel has had a largely positive start to life at Chelsea, as he’s yet to be beaten since coming to England.
- However, the German has not been able to transform the Blues’ on-field play entirely – shown by Chelsea’s inability to score from open play against Southampton:
- Chelsea are taking fewer shots and scoring fewer goals despite taking more touches in the opposition box – a lack of precision Tuchel himself pointed out earlier.
- However, Tuchel’s 3-4-3 has shored up things at the back as the Blues have only conceded 2 goals in 7 games:
1.7 – Since Thomas Tuchel's first game in charge of Chelsea on January 27th, they have allowed their opponents just 1.7 shots on target per Premier League game on average (10 faced in 6 matches) – the lowest ratio of any side in the competition in this time. Control. pic.twitter.com/LJejCp67em

Tuchel certainly needs more time to get the best out of this Chelsea squad, but the German must do enough to get the Blues a top-4 spot come the end of the season.
