Manchester United Women’s squad have secured the services of Tobin Heath and Christen Press. Both players have established themselves in the United States of America Women’s National Team and will be great recruits for United.
The forward has two World Cup medals and two Olympics Gold in her trophy cabinet and is regarded as one of the best players of her country. Having a player of her stature will be extraordinary for Manchester United. The same was reflected in the words of Casey Stoney, the current boss of the United Women’s Team. She said, “We are all excited to have Tobin join the club; she is an outstanding player who brings a wealth of experience to the squad.”
Casey further added. “Tobin’s many accolades and trophies also show that she is a proven winner and I’m looking forward to seeing her have a real impact in the squad.”
Tobin Heath herself is ecstatic with the signing. She thinks Manchester United is an exceptional club and she is thrilled to be a part of the team. “I’m looking forward to the challenge of competing in England, playing with and against some of the best players in the world”, Heath said. “I have big ambitions for this season and can’t wait to get on the pitch with my new team and start this next chapter.”
Christen Press
“I feel blessed to have the opportunity to continue to strive to be my best and to compete for trophies this year. I look forward to this new challenge and I can’t wait to start training with the team.”
Casey Stoney shared his opinion on Press as well. Calling her a world-class player, she said, “We are thrilled to have her [Christen Press] on board at the club. She has a proven record and her stats speak for themselves; she’s a ruthless striker who scores so many different types of goals, and I know she can add some real quality to our squad.”
