Eden Hazard will no longer play for Real Madrid this season, journalist Jose Luis Sanchez reports.
The Belgian attacker picked up an ankle injury earlier in March. Now it looks like he won’t be able to return to the pitch until the end of April.
Carlo Ancelotti is not planning to use the 31-year-old after he recovers. The Italian intends to sell Hazard in the summer.
Among other things, it also means Eden won’t play against Chelsea. The Blues face Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final tie on April 6 (at home) and April 12 (away).
Obviously, this is surely sad news for Chelsea fans considering we all wish the iconic forward well.
Carlo Ancelotti has barely used Hazard this season, giving him just 877 minutes on the pitch across 22 appearances.
