West Bromwich Albion have reportedly become the latest Premier League team to express an interest in securing the services of Manchester United winger Daniel James ahead of the January transfer window.
Leeds United Brighton & Hove, Burnley and Everton Albion are among the other Premier League teams to have been linked with a move for the 23-year-old, who has struggled to cement in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting XI this season.
Norwegian manager is thought to be open to the idea of sending James out on loan in order to gain first-team experience, and the Daily Star claims that West Brom have now also joined the race.
New Baggies head-coach Sam Allardyce has reportedly enquired as to the Wales international’s availability next month as he looks to strengthen his squad in an attempt to remain in the Premier League this campaign.
James has made just five starts in the top flight this term, although two of those have come in the Red Devil’s last two games.
The winger started and found back of the net in the recent 6-2 thrashing of Leeds and retained his spot for Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Leicester City, although he has been substituted in the second half of that game.
